Community & Home Detox Service (CHDS)

CADS Community & Home Detox Service is for people who are physically dependent on alcohol and other drugs (e.g. benzodiazepines, methamphetamines, opiates) who require medical support to withdraw (detox) or to reduce their use or to stabilise on medications. We can support people in their own homes or elsewhere in the community.

The CHDS team also manages the application process for the Substance Addiction (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 2017.

If you would like to know whether CHDS might be an appropriate option for you or you have questions about the process, get in touch with your local CADS unit.
